HAUNTVILLE 2025
13 TWISTED FAIRY TAILS
HAUNTVILLE’S FIFTH ANNUAL HAUNTED HOUSE
Asheville-based immersive theatre producers Vinny Vignette Bonanno and Andrew Magazine have gathered over twenty performers and visual artists to bring you the fifth annual Hauntville.
An immersive haunted house that guides audiences on a sensory, hypnotic, terrifying journey through various familiar stories and faces. Hauntville takes groups of up to 15 people on an hour-long walking tour both indoors and outdoors. This year, the show is co-directed by Chirstine Maiello, Mr. Vignette, and Mr. Magazine.
Hauntville: 13 Twisted Fairy Tails is a collaborative production of live and immersive theatre in the style of horror – drawing upon familiar characters or tales to dysregulate our audience’s systems. Our mission is to entice and scare. This Halloween weekend, we’re taking over the familiar and beloved Asheville theater, The Hazel Robinson Amphitheater, for three nights and using it as it has never been used before, thanks to the team at Montford Park Players.
The tour will take you backstage, behind stage, above and below stage, on stage and off. We’ll take you way over the edge on a surely unfamiliar deep, dark dive down the rabbit hole for a terror filled series of forsaken and forlorn fairelore, told inside out, bound [up] to make you squirm.
Performances will take place at The Hazel Robinson Amphitheater, 92 Gay St, Asheville, NC 28801, on October 30, 31 and November 1 with Tours of up to 15 starting every 15 minutes beginning at 7 PM. The last tour each night will depart the entrance at 10 PM. Tickets range from $35 – $50. The show has sold out every year in the past. Tickets are available at www.hauntvilleavl.com. Montford Park Players will be providing adult concessions on site.

Come get moved!
Andrew Magazine’s driving force is to make effective art. He is a dancer, a butcher, and a homesteader. When not facilitating fear, he spends his time helping agriculturally-rooted businesses in the food industry “close the loop” as a consultant on all things meaty. Andrew came to Hauntville in 2022 with a vision to menacingly work the audience as a scantily clad vampire while butchering a whole hog. Well, the audience ate it up! He joined Hauntville as Producer in 2023 and can’t wait to twist up some tails for you. Come get fed.
Christine Josephine (CJ) has been wiggling her way through the wonders and play of the performing arts world for over 20 years. Growing up she didn’t participate or train in the performing arts but spent countless hours in the visual arts and talking with the birds in the trees. Later, after many late night dance parties and the awakening of a childhood dream, she minored in dance at UNCA. She has been performing and creating structural performing art forms ever since. Her collective, Caro&Chri, performs annually in the Asheville Fringe Arts Festival and was seen in Hauntville ‘23, in Kitchen Cacophony. She lives for moving audience members through a journey they won’t forget.
