The Montford Park Players

NC's Longest Running Shakespeare Festival

A Summer of Power, Intrigue and Passion

Asheville, NC – The Montford Park Players, North Carolina's Longest Running Shakespeare Festival, brings a summer of power, intrigue and passion to the stage as it opens its 36th season with Antony & Cleopatra. Followed by the rarely-performed Henry VIII, as a part of the Stripped-Down Shakespeare Series. More political intrigue and passion follow in a lighter vein with As You Like It. The season closes with Christopher Marlowe's powerful tale of power as a corrupting influence, Doctor Faustus.
